After watching a news clip Black Friday morning. What I found was amazing. There were so many people standing in lines to get Christmas presents at a discount. Saving money is a good thing but is that why we do it? I have been there in years past and the pay off was not that great.
Our local news station was reporting on the craziness of Black Friday; long lines and why people do it. They were actually giving away prizes. One news person yelled out, "I have a FREE gift for whoever comes and gets it." NO ONE moved, he had to run over to the line and hand it to someone who was willing to take it. VIDEO
How crazy was that? It was a FREE gift and NO ONE stepped up. How many of us do the same thing when it comes to money? Has your chance come, have you missed that one last opportunity? VIDEO
It's time to take your financial situation in your own hands. Is your mindset so stuck following the masses that you don't move when FREE gifts are offered?
Opportunities are not for everyone. But are opportunities never for you? What that says to me is you don't have enough information. Register to watch the video and let's get your questions answered. Sound fair?

Resistance ...
This past week I have had more resistance than I bargained for. The resistance from my own self limiting beliefs.
I feel like I have been asked to run a race, striving (because of my belief of determination and my competitive belief) for a record time but found myself caught in a fierce wind slowing my pace. It was frustrating and confusing. I knew I was able to set a record pace but was fighting against the wind that kept pushing me back. I was not accepting the wind, accepting the fact that logistically it would slow down my pace. I ended up being exhausted simply because I fought so hard against it (my belief that being tired is a type of failure). IF I would have accepted it, I could have used it to my advantage. Accepted where I was and what I was up against. I could have shifted my perspective and thought of the fierce resistance as training. Only AFTER the race did I find any peace. I missed the mark! The record time was NOT the mark I should have aimed for but it was the step by step journey that was the greatest benefit. NOT where I ended up and how but celebrating that I took it step by step and didn't give up (My new belief of the importance of sharpening the saw - taking care of me gives me greater results with less effort).
Isn't that how life goes? It seems we face resistance everyday. I found that when I recognize I'm going through resistance, I'm good to slow my pace and reflect. Am I going in the right direction? Just because I felt resistance does NOT mean it's the wrong way. Most times it's because it IS the right direction and I'm simply getting out of my comfort zone.
Here's what I want you to do. IF you are feeling resistance, write down how you feel and why you feel that way. It's not a right or wrong answer, just write down your feelings. This will give you a better perspective on what benefit the resistance is there for.
Enjoy your day,

Are you hurt?
I woke up early today with thoughts of our kids. Nothing bad but those common thoughts, I wonder if they are happy? I wonder if they are going in a forward direction? Do they need anything? You know the basics of what every Mother hopes and dreams for her kids. Now Grandkids are in the picture and the same questions are asked about them.
We have all heard, "if Mommy isn't happy, no one is happy," what about putting dad in there? "if Daddy isn't happy, no one is happy."
Crazy how we put so much of our own happiness, our own peace on other people. Giving others so much power. If Mom or Dad are not happy, that is a personal problem. It's not a problem we need to take on but we do. That continues to be part of our development as we grow into adulthood.
I remember our kids thinking I was mad when I wasn't. Thinking back, there were times I was struggling, times I was hurt and guess my behavior showed anger. Interesting how they took my unhappiness or my struggling and attached the "she must not love me then, I must have done something wrong" thoughts. While we were all growing up, I am happy to say I have learned how to heal the hurt. How to depend on my internal validation ... no longer requiring outside validation. Not focusing on the "what" a person does but on the "who" they are.
It is a great space to be in. It is easier to love authentically. May you find your peace you are searching for. I know it's out there, I know you can do it!

Perspective
I was talking with a friend and kept hearing the word 'change.' I realized how little she accepted herself. Think about it, there is NO ONE in this world that needs changing. They are perfect the way the are. I would say we all deserve to 'shift' our perspective. Can you hear the difference?
Some of you reading this might strongly disagree with that but hear me out.
We are spiritual Children of God, as I believe. If this is true, we have a spiritual lineage. We also have been asked to follow in God's footsteps. If God is Love and he loves UNCONDITIONALLY, then that becomes our quest in our lifetime. Loving unconditionally means just that....NO CONDITIONS, the love is always there. God doesn't love you IF you do A, B or C ... God loves you because you are who you are!
If we could learn to love as God loves, not just others but ourselves we can then begin understanding more of God's plan laid out for us. In fact, we must learn first and acquire that unconditional love for our self before we can give it to anyone else. We can not give what we do not have.
I had a grandson looking for me. I was on a balcony waving my arms trying to get him to notice me. He kept looking up and around because he heard me but never saw me. This kinda describes what I'm talking about. My grandson didn't have anything to change to see me, he simply needed to shift his perspective. He finally saw me only after he was willing to shift his perspective and stance and waved back.
Try it on for today, shifting your perspective with one person. If they tell you or explain something, do your best to look at it from their point of view. Like Steven R. Covey stated, "Seek to understand before seeking to be understood."

Housecleaning or Mind cleaning?
I read a post on Facebook today from one of our daughters and it said, "Feeling like I could just throw everything away!!! I love & hate organizing for this very reason"
Funny how that struck me so strongly today. I am also feeling a need to "throw everything" away but I also LOVE and hate personal organizing for this very reason :) She is talking about tangible things around the house. I am speaking about non-tangible things; "Things" a person is driven to accomplish, "Things" of value you offer to other people , "Things" or thoughts that either build you up or tear you down.
I use to feel this love/hate about school. I hated going and being directed to accomplish homework assignments, I didn't mind the homework it was the deadline or the expectation that went with it. My defense mechanism is to NOT do anything if I feel an expectation. I always wished I didn't have to go. In reality, you know how bored I would have been to not have any mind stimulation or people interaction? I loved the feelings of completion. I loved the feelings of preparation. I loved the opportunities I had for friendship.
Coming off several days of less focus on my business, it's organization time. I LOVE putting a new plan in place; fueled by passion to offer greater value to more people in less time and being overwhelmed at the time it takes to dig inside for that spiritual guidance. ALL to become the best I can be. Every day I strive to be even better than the last.
Life is a journey, not an event! Matthew Ferry stated, "You will never get it done." Time to remember my journey, getting back on my path to discovery.
Today, what journey do you want to take? Is it a journey that will make you greater income? Is it journey that will produce greater fitness and health? With my clients, I teach you to take small steps which will have you accomplishing great things. Decide to begin today!

Everything???
“How I do anything is how I do everything.” I learned that from T. Harv Ecker. It’s so true as I have become more aware of my obstacles in life. What that means to me is my “book of law” those thoughts that I feel are non-negotiable thoughts, feelings or actions were leading me down the same path. The path I now decided to shift. WOW, talk about resistance. My personal resistance has been the hardest to move through.
Take money, we all have a financial blueprint, financial laws we hold fast to. I’m no different. I hoard money when I feel or fear loss. When I feel or can not see money coming in the future. I hoard what I have and act like a popper. Crazy as it sounds, I have great months and I feel or fear greater loss than at any other time. I am learning just like each of you to let go of those laws that no longer serve me.
I started a journal and wrote in it every time I felt resistance. There were days that I wrote several times. Resistance or fear is different for each of us, however the feeling of resistance and fear are universal.
I’m going to suggest to start paying attention to those times you feel resistance. Write down your feelings. There are no right or wrong feelings, just feelings. Getting them down on paper will allow you the opportunity to begin your awareness of your own book of law. You will learn those laws that you hold fast and true to, no matter what.
“How you do anything is how you do everything”
Take today and decide what still serves you and what you no longer want. Begin your journey by getting to know how amazing you already are! Keep what you want, shift what no longer serves you! Good luck and know you are not on this journey alone.

Doctor Doctor
I’m sitting at a doctors office with a friend, and this saying was hanging on the wall.
“The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you”
At first, I wasn’t sure I understood then it hit me and it makes perfect sense. As I have started on my journey I knew where I wanted to be. I also knew how far I needed to go. That was frustrating, it was like planning a journey knowing the end destination BUT the duration in between was overwhelming.
Here’s what I received from the saying. I knew what the Grace of God meant, that was knowing God filled in the gaps after I did my best and completed my efforts. I also know what the will of God means, doing what I am spiritually directed to do.
Let’s recap, if God never takes me where his Grace is unable to be, then why would I ever allow fear to enter in on my journey? As long as I know I did my best, whatever that means, the Grace of God will be there to complete what I was unable to do. It fits perfectly with playing the “perfect game.”
I “should” on myself all the time. I never felt or allowed myself to receive the Grace of God in any of my efforts. What good did that do for me? exactly...NOTHING!
Stop “shoulding” on yourself and know you are doing the best you know at that moment. Again, play the perfect game for one day, then for two, then continue on until it becomes a habit. Your feeling of freedom will be so sweet, you will wonder why you ever doubted how amazing you are!
Perfect Game:
Whatever is offered, take it
Whatever is suggested, do it
Whatever happens, declare it perfect
Create a "shouldless" day,
Jody

Ever After
Here I'm sitting at my daughter's house, getting kids settled down and watching the movie. Interesting how stories develop over time. I'm not going to go through the movie chapter by chapter so if you want to know the movie details, you must rent it.
The point I gathered and pondered throughout was the development of stories. We all have stories that began somewhere, over time we or others embellish them to fit the situation.
It's interesting how I have learned that what I thought was a big deal when I was younger doesn't seem such a big deal as an adult. The story that sticks out in my mind, that was huge as I was growing up, was I had red hair. Red hair is not that big a deal but when you are the ONLY person in the whole entire school --- yes in ALL grades (Kindergarten thru 6th) with red hair, you kinda stand out! I truly felt like an alien.
I was told I had a hot temper, I was hard headed, stubborn etc. When in fact, I was pretty easy going, sensitive and not all that stubborn. I was given labels my entire life! Not just by others but also by me.
This last year, I fully understood the power of labels. The power of removing them!
Labels are definitions of who you are ... how silly it is we hang onto those labels without learning if they are true or not. Sometimes we simply live up to them.
If you are ready to release your labels...let's get started.
Begin writing down all the labels you have in all areas. Here are a few listed.
1. physical: Are you a daughter, Mother, Brother, Father, sister, gender, skin color, tall, short etc.
2. Business: What is your career, education background, income level, etc
3. Spiritual: what religion are you, what beliefs create labels, are you spiritual or not etc
You get the idea. Now get to work ..... message me and give me ONE label you are giving up (removing) and why.
Have fun!

Yes or Yes?
Yes is a simple word but has power built in.
The Webster's dictionary describes it this way: Yes is used to express agreement with an earlier statement or to say that statement is true
I was listening to motivational words by Matthew Ferry. I enjoy his programs and enjoy his words. He has you remember all the good in your life right now and to say YES with determination and power. You feel uplifted as you are doing this exercise and during the day.
It's good to remember the good. It's also great to put positive power behind your words.
Power, is an interesting word. Think of a ball point pen. There is no power in the pen itself. It can sign a declaration of war and create massive destruction OR it can pen a magnificent love sonnet and be remembered for centuries. Either way it is used, it still has no power in the pen itself. It's the power BEHIND the pen. It's who possesses the pen and the power it gives the pen.
Just like the simple word YES, it's powerless until you give it the power it needs to create powerful memories of all the good in your life right now.
Try this on for a DAY. Start your day off listing ALL the good things in your life right now, after each statement say the word YES with power! Repeat your list a few times, as many as you choose but after each statement continue declaring the word YES with power.
Tell me how you feel after that exercise. You are now starting on the path to create personal power and life each day with amazing results.
Enjoy your day,
Jody

Motive or Motivation
Interesting words. As I move forward in my business I was thinking about motives. Since I love looking up the meaning of words, as usual, I looked up "motive". Websters has it as, Motive:a reason for doing something.
Some call it their "WHY." Why are you doing what you're doing, what purpose is pushing you?
What motives do you have to continue spending your time doing what you do?
Now here's "motivation." Websters has it as, Motivation: the act or process of giving someone a reason for doing something : the act or process of motivating someone.
Motive is on a more personal level. Motivation is what one does for others 'giving' them a reason. I'm all about taking full responsibility, and the word motivation alone screams you are giving someone else the responsibility to come up with your motive, your why.
When I look up words and their meaning I learn more than anyone else. It's been part of my journey to understand why I do what I do. It keeps me moving and when the fears become too great....no matter how difficult the journey I can keep moving forward.
Here's my suggestion. Go buy the book "Aspire: Discovering Your Purpose Through the Power of Words" by Kevin Hall and choose which word describes you.
My word, "Sapere Vedere" and "PATHFINDER" --- combine it as "Sapere Vedere Pathfinder"

Enjoy your day,
Jody

Ahhh Mom! do I have to?
Holding nothing back! I'm writing these blog posts because they are an assignment from my coach. Yes, I'll admit these thoughts just don't come out of my head, I have to think about what to write.
Then I go into wondering who cares, right? My negative thoughts continue just like every one else. When my son suggested I write a book, my first thought was "who am I to write a book?" I did it anyway. If you want to read it go to my website www.moneymama.biz and request your FREE copy.
I can go through example after example of how my negative thoughts work hard to stop me from progressing. It's crazy but I have learned to hear the negative stuff but I dismiss it and move forward.
At first it took me a while to recognize my negative thoughts. I had become so accostomed to listening; how sad that the negativity was so familiar to me. I was robotic in a way and simply kept living my life listening to it. I lived life out of fear, which is usually where those negative thoughts stem from.
I decided to live life smarter not harder! I turned those negative thoughts into a tool of understanding what holds me back. I learned how to tap into my spiritual side and listen attentively to that voice. I had to practice that as well. Procrastination comes from listening to your negative voice, believing it and obeying it. To rid yourself from procrastination, negative talk and learn how to live smarter not harder. Begin by developing and strengthening your personal integrity.
You see, once your negative talk believes you no longer are listening it starts speaking in a softer voice.
Here's what I found that worked. Decide one thing you want to work on each day. Example: get up at 6:00am every day. Now do just that!
Practice doing what you say you are going to do. Once you do this for a week it gets easier. You will learn how to start dismissing that negative talk that keeps you stuck. Once you can believe you will listen, others will to.
Let me know how it works for you. Message me and tell me about your week.
It's a great life, create yourself a fabulous day,
Jody

Financial Freedom?
Financial freedom, really is that possible?
I thought about that answer. It is a common one when I asked "what do you really want out of life?"
What does that mean, let's dig deeper ... never to pay bills again? That would have been my answer a few years ago. I truly believed financial freedom was to never "have" to pay bills again.
Does it mean, to have all the money you want whenever you want? Once again, I remember this dream type feeling, "Yes if I just had as much as I wanted then I would be happy."
I laugh now at how foolish I must have sounded. My ah ha moment came when I realized it wasn't money that 'made' me happy it was 'having' an attitude of gratitude for all I have now that generated those peaceful happy feelings.
Financial freedom seems to stem from the desire to take back control. To be in control of your own life, your own time, eliminating the "have to's" in life. No more governmental control of how much money they take first out of your paycheck, no more employment control dictating how many days you can be sick in a year or how many days you can use for vacation. You are looking for a way to be your own boss and manage your own money. With that said, are you ready for that?
Let's see if you are. Try this on for one week. Say these two simple statements (they come from T.Harv Eker) in the mirror every morning and night with your hand over your heart
1. I am truly grateful for all the money I have now
2. I am an excellent money manager

No regrets!
After hearing about my two inspirational friends who died in the airplane crash at the Wendover airport, I am more determined now to strengthen to live my motto ... "No regrets."
I have regrets with not enough courage to pursue a dream, regrets in not doing what I felt prompted to do, regrets in not being better at something, etc. I was getting proficient in beating myself up, believing my 'humility' was in suffering. Not true! Beating myself up helped no one, especially me and humility is simply the acceptance to grow.
I learned from Matthew Ferry to play the perfect game. Try this out for one day, experience a day with no regrets! Here you go! the assignment for a day
Whatever is offered, take it
Whatever is suggested, do it
Whatever happens declare it perfect
You only have right now. You can not go back in time and the future hasn't happened yet. You have right now, let's all learn to accept who we are (good, bad, or the ugly), become even better day by day and live with no regrets.

Why we do what we do?
I'm sitting here reflecting on my WHY, why I do what I do. It all comes down to fear. When I began my real estate business, I moved forward with ignorant faith. I felt like a teenager in the face of danger. Thinking it's ok, it won't happen to me. I believe I shut off the caution button in my brain, I didn't want to know the hardships ahead.
Now looking back, the only hardship I faced was my own fear. It was hard only making $16,000 then after expenses having a net income of $7,000 my first year. My second year not much better, going 6 months without a commission check. Wow, I felt then I really made a bad mistake. I hated knowing I failed my family. My fears were coming true.
What I learned, fear is always there. So how did I make it through another 7 years of that? I started to identify my fears. I know now I was working out of obligation. Obligation stems from Fear of loss and Fear of rejection. You got it, I feared I would lose everything and my family would be out on the streets. ALL because of me. That was a heavy burden!
If you want to learn more about where fear comes from, a great book to read is "Think and Grow Rich." It lays out the 6 major fears ALL fears come from. Here is something easy to do, write one of your greatest fears on Facebook for all to see.

Types of "Cons"
When making decisions I usually will write down the pros and cons of the situation. I just bought a new car and did the same thing ... made my list. Pro's are the good things, Con's are the bad ... interesting!!!
I continue on my journey to learn more about why I do what I do. This morning part of my reading was going over unconditional love. Learning what true UNconditional love is all about. These thoughts followed;
Why must we live our life based on conditions? Conditions of....
If we want to be liked, we have to meet certain criteria that someone else has set.
If we want to be healthy, we have to eat certain foods that someone else has laid out
Most believe to be "worthy" we must do x,y and z ....
When will we choose to live and love unconditionally? Isn't it time we stop following society and follow Christ's example of unconditional love for everyone? especially ourselves? Remember, we can not give what we do not have ... it all begins within.
The scriptures state clearly, "become as a little child.." that doesn't mean selfish, it means innocent. Innocent doesn't mean naive either, it means to live without baggage, to live with joy instead ... look at it this way, "inner" sense. Learn who you are and feel the joy that comes from your inner sense! How many children do you know that simply enjoys the moment? Running through water, rolling down a hill, signing and laughing out loud, dancing just to dance?
To begin, one must accept themselves. Accept the good, bad and ugly!!! One must stop putting "conditions" on themselves, like... I should be better at this, I should be a better parent, better spouse, etc. Using the word "better" alone tells our inner sense what we are doing is not good enough. I suggest using the word "EVEN better" if you simply can not accept what is!
Create yourself a fabulous day!!!

"IN"come
I had a huge shift in understanding that I feel I'm obligated to share. It may mean nothing to others, but to me it was everything!
My post are usually about shifting one's mindset, enlarging perspectives, empowering oneself, and learning to have complete acceptance of who we are.
This post is about money. My journey started when I read the book, "Secrets of a Millionaire Mind" by T. Harv Ecker. I loved the book talking about our money blueprint. I knew then it was my belief system that kept me stuck in my financial woes. I continue learning about my money blueprint and I finally feel like I no longer am hanging onto outdated baggage!!! I am loving the feeling of freedom.
Yes, I'm a real estate investor. I have been in the real estate arena since 1994 and have always felt it was a way to get ahead. I liked the large commission checks, I love the large checks at closing ... some checks are larger than most earn as their yearly salary. However, I never felt like I was getting ahead.
Doing our taxes this year, we were holding ourselves accountable to documenting where our income went. My husband asked, "where did all your income go?"
Our financial hurdle was NOT in bringing in money ("IN"come), it's been in having anything left.
Here's my breakthrough! I learned my mindset was about "IN"come. It's always been just that, bringing in money. The job mindset of working, all to "bring" in money.
I have looked for opportunities out there which always had a focus of "bringing IN" income...income for me was money available to pay expenses. I'm okay with keeping that belief of "bringing IN" money, my shift is in what it's for.
The old belief: I work to pay expenses. The more money I brought in, the more expenses I created.
My breakthrough, new belief is ... I now work to buy my retirement income! How exciting is that?
I became my own expense .... Love it!!!

Muck in the Masses...
I woke up with a clear understanding of why I felt so stuck all the time. I know about the cashflow quadrant from Robert Kiyosaki, I teach the cashflow quadrant. I personally feel it's a great book, one that teaches us what is out there.
Now where do we fit in? I know I have been on the left hand side my entire life. I believed I was on the right several times but never really felt like it was secure. How do I finally make the jump?
We all are searching for a way to be financially secure.
1. We work long hours at a job that pays us well. Believing we will stay there for years
2. We save our money, learn to spend less and less
3. We put our money away in retirement accounts, created for the masses
4. We keep buying things ... liabilities NOT assets only believing we are buying assets
5. The list goes on and on
All the habits we feel are good we keep calling habits. Those habits we are not so happy with we call addictions.
All in all we can only say we do what's important to us. Someone may disagree with that, giving all sorts of excuses but take those excuses all away... Bottom line is we do what is important to us.
What became clear as I was teaching the cashflow quadrant again, is we stay where we are comfortable. Think about it. If 99% of the masses --- which is the majority of us -- are on the left hand side, we function, understand and process our daily financial habits day by day IN the left hand side because that's what we have been taught. Everything we do is all IN and ON the left hand side. We talk with others ON the left hand side. We look for answers ON the left hand side. We seek teachers FROM the left hand side. We stay where we are comfortable!
All the time believing we are getting new information.
Think about our financial beliefs. We all have them, think about what we say about "rich" people? All those thoughts, put faces on them. It's like us staying clear from that "group" of people because we don't fit in. How many times do we resist being invited to one of their "parties" BECAUSE we feel so separated.
We've never been on the right side so why go to the unknown? Won't we lose "friends" (beliefs) if we start to hang out on the right side?
But don't we all continue searching for the door or pathway to get there. Interesting.
Why the resistance??? Why stay stuck?
The only solution is to learn from someone who teaches those on the right side how they can stay there! Learn from someone who can help us move into the right side step by step. Let's get acquainted with "those" on the right side, in a comfortable environment. Most of us will feel more confident and more secure if we learn and practice better financial practices to be one of "those" now hanging out on the right side. Why do we fight it?
April 9th is YOUR chance. This is an event that gives you insight into what it takes, what's available to begin your journey TO the right side. Our instructor, Curtis DeYoung is a person who teaches those ON the right side how to stay there.
Now's your chance. Clear your schedule, don't allow your excuses to keep you from at least hearing what it takes. If you still choose to stay on the left hand side, that's fine. We will still be friends!

Holograms ... Dreams ... Life
You know when thoughts hit and understanding becomes clear. It's amazing even then how hard it is to wrap your head around what you just learned.
The words Holograms, Dreams and Life came to mind. Processing some of the words I just read and relating them to my current situation. I'll do my best to share with you the intensity and clarity of understanding I just received.
Hologram: What does that really mean. I know it was part of the Star Trek series but then began understanding my earth life is like a hologram.
The definition as in Websters Dictionary... a three-dimensional image reproduced from a pattern of interference...; also : the pattern of interference itself
I fully believe we are spiritual beings having an earthly experience. So coming to earth separated me from God. This physical side of life is a duplicate of the spiritual side. We were created spiritually before being born into our physical bodies.
My purpose in writing is simply to share thoughts with you, not dive into a deep spiritual type conversation. You may agree with my thoughts, understand them or totally disagree and think I'm living in fantasy land somewhere. It matters not. My purpose is simply to share things that help me along my journey.
The more I'm learning and understanding more about why we do what we do, it's becoming clearer that our focus is more on the physical side of things vs the spiritual. We attach ourselves to more of our physiological feelings and emotional feeling and claim we have an answer from God. In reality we are missing the fact, choosing to forget or ignor the fact we have an EGO (Natural Man) whose sole purpose is to create interference with our connection to our spiritual self.
How many times have I made a decision because I felt it was "right" all to find out I gave power to my EGO to choose for me.
If you are seeking clarity, if you are seeking a clearer direction, join my team and together we will take that journey together. It's possible and yes it's possible for you!
Create yourself a fabulous day!

Motto of Paul J. Meyers..Attitude is everything
I have a goal to write out my thoughts in hopes of assisting others along my same journey. Moving from the Employee mindset to business owner. It's been a great ride however I still find myself getting stuck.
Facebook is a great resource for me to be inspired by great quotes of others' postings. I saw this one today. What struck me were the words pursued and attracted.
"Success is not to be pursued; it is to be attracted by the person you become" ~ Jim Rohn
My first response to getting started on any day IF I am feeling like I'm falling behind is to begin pursuing activities. Figuring out, planning my days activities. Nothing wrong with that but it puts me in my usual habit of busy work. The saying BE DO HAVE stays firm in my mind and busy work is simply hustling around "doing to have"....where's the "BE"?
I love to read and found this article in Success Magazine ... By Todd Eliason, writing about Paul J. Meyers.
Interesting point that was made was in Paul's reflection of his parents teachings. His dad was a carpenter and taught very wise lessons.
Paul states, "One tool that stands out in Paul’s memory is his father’s magnet, because his father used it to demonstrate an intriguing law that Paul would use his entire life. “Experimenting with this magnet brought the law of attraction to life for me,” he says. “Positives attract, and negatives repel. When people allow fear, worry, doubt, indecision and other forms of negative thinking to determine the direction of their mental attitude, they shut off the positive power of their magnets.”
So the first part of the facebook post was how pursuing was NOT the answer to success but attraction was. When I read this part from the article, it made sense and re-centered me in striving to become the person who attracts success.
A second part of the article that impacted me was when he described what it takes to become a winner!
Paul states, "Over the years Paul realized even more fully the powerful role attitude plays in determining success and winning in life. “When people think of themselves as successful, they succeed,” Paul says. “When you believe in yourself, others tend to believe in you. When they see your self-confidence and positive expectancy about your goals, they believe in you and begin to accept your ideas.”
I am successful therefore I succeed daily.
I live in my power, therefore my belief in myself and my venture is embedded in my soul
I accomplish my goals easily, quickly and efficiently
I am grateful for all the money I have now
I love people
People love me
I am enough

Financial Health..how fit are you?
Financial Freedom is what I hear most people say when they tell me why they want to learn Real Estate Investing. They understand the power of leverage through Real Estate, however, financial freedom is a vague statement.
Let's take it a bit deeper. Those who tell me I am looking for Financial freedom are really looking for more time to do what they "want" to do. They want the choice of their schedule. They want more time with family. These are all good and fine but still we must dig a little deeper. Get to the core issue of what we must learn and do to obtain this goal.
Interesting! I am all about Fitness. I work out and I strive to learn how to eat healthy. My basic physical make up is a high fat content which I have dealt with all my life. In fact, I have my fat percentage checked regularly something most people don't even know what % they have. I do, and have been labeled in the "obese" category all my life. If one looked at me, that wouldn't make sense but I swear based on the charts I am borderline ALWAYS in the obese category. Is that frustrating? YES!
I am doing a body "rehab" to get my body fat % under control. I know it is healthier for me to get it lowered. I continue learning how to maintain it through healthy eating. I learn more and can handle it better each time I focus on the goal of getting it lowered. Is it easy, not really. Is it simple YES.
Those who know me, know I use analogies in everything and financial health and physical health compare nicely. Here's what I have found.
I have been financially obese most of my life. My debts were out of hand. On paper, our debts didn't look so bad but come every month our checkbook took a beating. We usually had more month left over money.
I began my financial rehab 2 1/2 years ago. Doug and I wrote down every penny we spent and on what. We learned where we spent our money. Once we knew where our priorities were, we could split up our monies in different categories. Yes we have a "play" account. As T. Harv Ecker states in his book, "Secrets of a Millionaire Mind" a play account is to be spent every month. It's not fair to "save" up for something big. That something big is your "future vacation" fund or "Future whatever" account.
You spend your play money on quality not quantity. For example, If you had $100 dollars to spend. You would spend it on an expensive dinner vs buying 100 dollar items at the dollar store.
There is a game plan just like a diet plan to achieve your goals of financial health. Stay tuned...more to come in following posts
